Iran launches military attack on Israel, launches dozens of drones, Netanyahu: We will respond in kind

Iran has launched an attack against Israel with dozens of drones.

Drones are estimated to take several hours to cover such a distance, according to news site Axios.

There was no immediate statement from the IDF about the attack.

Iran has threatened to attack Israel over the killing of seven IRGC members, including two generals, in Damascus, Syria last week.

Flights to Tel Aviv from Thailand have been turned back, following the anticipated attack by Iran.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said earlier that Israel is ready for a direct attack from Iran and will respond in kind.

"Citizens of Israel, in recent years, and even more so in recent weeks, Israel has been preparing for the possibility of a direct attack from Iran," the prime minister said in a video statement.

Our defense systems are in place and we are prepared for any scenario, both defensively and offensively. The State of Israel is strong, the IDF is strong, the people are strong.”

"We appreciate the US standing by Israel, as well as the support of Great Britain, France and many other countries."

"I have established a clear principle - whoever hurts us, we will hurt them. We will defend ourselves against any threat and we will do so calmly and decisively."
